By placing a deposit or booking an installation through AIOS LLC ("AIOS," "we," "us"), you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before proceeding.
AIOS provides professional installation of the Comma 4, a consumer electronics device manufactured by Comma.ai, Inc. Our service includes hardware installation, software configuration, a personalized walkthrough, and a supervised test drive.
AIOS does not develop, modify, or maintain the driving software (openpilot). Comma.ai, Inc. is the sole developer and provider of the software that runs on the Comma 4 device.
The Comma 4 is a Level 2 driver-assistance system. It is NOT a self-driving system. By using our service, you acknowledge and agree that:
The total cost of installation is $2,000, which includes the Comma 4 device, vehicle-specific wiring harness, professional installation, software setup, walkthrough, test drive, and 30 days of support.
Cash Pay: A $500 deposit is required at the time of booking. The remaining $1,500 balance is due on the day of installation.
Financing: Monthly payment plans are available through third-party providers (Affirm, Klarna). Financing terms are subject to the provider's approval and terms.
Before device is ordered: Full deposit refund available.
After device is ordered: Deposit is non-refundable, as the device and harness have been purchased for your specific vehicle.
Device return: The Comma 4 comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee from Comma.ai, Inc. If you are unsatisfied, we will assist with the manufacturer's return process. AIOS installation labor fees are non-refundable.
The Comma 4 device is warranted by Comma.ai, Inc. under their standard warranty terms. AIOS does not provide a separate warranty for the device or software.
AIOS warrants its installation workmanship for 30 days from the date of installation. If you experience any issues related to the physical installation during this period, we will re-inspect and correct the installation at no additional cost.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, AIOS LLC shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from the use of the Comma 4 device or its software, including but not limited to vehicle accidents, injuries, property damage, or traffic violations.
You assume all risk associated with using a Level 2 driver-assistance system in your vehicle.
The Comma 4 connects to your vehicle via a plug-in wiring harness and does not permanently modify your car. Under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, your vehicle manufacturer cannot void your warranty simply because you installed an aftermarket device. However, AIOS is not responsible for any warranty disputes with your vehicle manufacturer.
The Comma 4 runs openpilot, an open-source driver-assistance system developed by Comma.ai, Inc. AIOS does not control, modify, or guarantee the performance of this software. For software-related terms and disclaimers, please refer to Comma.ai's terms of service.
